PLEASE READ WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS THINK ABOUT OUR SERVICE:

Thank you very much for your skills and the great key!

I bought several keys on eBay and not one of them worked, I wish I knew about your
service earlier! Key works fine and I am very happy!

Fits like a glove. Thank you for fixing the lock too!

Thank you. Fast turnaround!

Cost more than I expected to pay but definitely worth
every penny - this key is so unique I even feel sorry to use it – it has to be
framed!

Thank you Sergio! I’m glad that people like you still exist – I almost
lost my hope to find one.

Very satisfied. Can I send you the left lock as well? I
will need two keys.

Thank you Sergio, now I am able to open and close the
door and I love the key!

You’re right! Key fits the other lock too! Thank You!

We are professional furniture restorers and after many years in business have collected an enormously huge amount of antique keys in all styles and sizes. Among our stock we can find a matching key and file it precisely to open virtually any 19th century French or English lock. We will need the actual lock though. If you are interested in this offer the winning bidder must send us the lock, completely insured to prevent any problems and for $65 we will make a key to match this particular lock and will mail the lock with this matching key back to you in about one week. This offer includes the cost of one iron key, cost of labor and return shipping. If there is some problem with your lock we will have to charge extra. Brass, figural, early 19th century, 18th century and earlier keys are also subject to extra charge – an exact estimate will be given prior to the beginning of the job. If you do not want to pay extra or we are not able to make you the key (most unlikely) we will return your lock and your payment. If this offer sounds unclear to you and you do not understand the terms of this sale you are welcome to call 408 757-1602 – we are not on the computer 24/7 and might delay the answer via e-mail. However, we will not be able to answer most of the questions without seeing an actual lock. Please read the answers to most common questions below: You are bidding on ONE key, keys on the pictures are just for display to show you our assortment and examples of keys that we have. Your key might look different; we will e-mail you an actual picture for approval only after we try this key with your lock. We will not be able to describe the key before we have your lock in our possessions but will try to find the right key to match the style and period of your lock. We will be able to e-mail you the picture of the key for your approval or let you chose from several keys that we have picked. This offer is for interior door or cabinet (desk, chest, armoire, etc) late 19th-early 20th century locks only. We are not offering service for car keys, entrance doors or padlocks. We have limited supply for early 19th, 18th century and earlier keys and might not be able to find the right key to match but we have the ability to make one from scratch if you want. We might have to take your lock apart in order to match the key, clean it from inside and oil it to make it work. There will be no damages to your lock. We will not charge you extra for cleaning and oiling because it is a part of the making key process. We will charge extra only if your lock is broken and we have to fix it, but we will ask for your approval first. You will not be able to see what we did to the key because we will hide all fresh cuts, and key will look old and authentic, as if it were an original key. With this offer, the key making charge is only $65 and it is a fixed price, no matter how long it might take us to make your key. Antique keys alone sell in $65 price range without making them to match the lock and very few locksmiths in this country are familiar with antique locks. Average locksmith charges about $70+/hourly but usually you will end up with $150 /for call. We are old European school museum quality restores with 30+ years experience. Our rate is $100/hour. We can make as many keys as you want. Please note that all above information applies to late 19th century and early 20th century keys only. We have a limited amount of 18c and earlier keys and some of these keys are very expensive, therefore if you have an earlier item we suggest you to call us first to make sure that we are be able complete your order and that it will be affordable for you. We will be able to help you on the phone if you have a problem removing your lock from your cabinet or putting it back. For some complicated orders we might need to call you several times during the key making process if we need any additional information or might even ask you to make a picture of your cabinet, to make sure that we know what we are doing. We guarantee only that our key will smoothly close and open your lock, however we cannot offer any extended warranty for lock installation, because improper handling might damage the lock and third party installation will void our warranty. Lock will be sent back with warranty seal, which will allow you to try the key but will have to be removed for the lock installation. examples of a typical French cabinet key c1900 reproduction brass blank keysexamples of a typical English cabinet key c 1900fresh cut to fit door key
